If you know of a KCU graduate, former faculty or staff member or iend of the University who h recently psed away, plee email h or her full information ( lted here) to alumni@kcumb.edu HOMECOMING HIGHLIGHTS Attendance at KCU's Centennial Homecoming and Update in Medicine set an all-time record and gave more than 500 alumni and their guests a chance to reunite and become reacquainted with one another as well as with the campus. Receptions, a BBQ lunch, reunion dinners, tours of a growing and renovated campus and ee CME hours for KCU alumni gave everyone ample opportunity to celebrate the heritage of the University and bring in a new century of educating physicians and scientists. • 361 participants in Continuing Medical Education • 525 alumni and guests attended Homecoming • 36 states were represented • Joel Corn, DO (COM '45), represented the earliest class; followed by Samuel Ganz, DO (COM '52) • Gregory Prier, DO (COM '01), traveled the farthest – 3,890 miles om Honolulu, Hawaii; followed by J. Russell Bowman, DO (COM '89) - 2,970 miles om Juneau, Alaska. COLLEGE OF BIOSCIENCES CELEBRATES 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY KCU's College of Biosciences' alumni celebrated the College's 10-year anniversary at a special dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Robert D. White, PhD, dean of the College of Biosciences, provided introductory remarks and recognized Dr. Rushing for his more than 40 years of service to the University. KCU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ELECTS 2017 BOARD OF DIRECTORS' OFFICERS AND MEMBERS Members of the Alumni Association elected the 2017-2019 officers during their annual meeting held ursday, Oct. 20. President: Cameron Knackstedt, DO (COM '75) Immediate Past President: Joel Feder, DO (COM '75) President Elect: Ross Sciara, DO (COM '71) Vice President: Mary Franz, DO (COM '90) Treasurer: omas Randoll, DO (COM '05) Secretary: Nathan Hall, DO (COM '10), MS (COB '06), MBA e Alumni Association also elected members to serve in three open Board positions for the 2017-2021 terms. Alumni re-elected Nathan Hall, DO (COM '10), MS (COB '06), MBA, and elected two new members, Karen Evans, DO (COM '00), and Elaine Joslyn, DO (COM '84). KCU wishes to thank Janis Coffin, DO (COM '98), and Jeey Schlachter, DO (COM '76), as they complete their service on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. We greatly appreciate their commitment and service toward developing strong bonds among fellow alumni and leading the University into a new century of training physicians and health scientists. AOA OMED RECEPTION During the 2016 American Osteopathic Association OMED Conference in Anaheim, Calif., KCU hosted its annual alumni reception at Highway 39 Event Center, a classic and antique car venue. More than 120 alumni and guests gathered to enjoy the evening which featured remarks by KCU President Marc B. Hahn, DO, and Alumni Association President Joel M. Feder, DO (COM '75).
