Programs Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences KCUMB's master of science in biomedical sciences program can provide you the skills necessary for a successful and rewarding career as a research scientist in a biomed- ical laboratory or give you the solid foundation you need to pursue doctoral programs in medicine or the life sciences. Interested students can choose from one-year or two-year pro- grams. e one-year program is classroom intensive, while the two- year program includes additional emphasis on advanced courses and allows students the opportunity to conduct an original research project under the supervision of an experienced researcher. Master of Arts in Bioethics KCUMB is proud to offer Kansas City's only graduate-level degree in bioeth- ics, which explores moral values as they relate to research and the practice of medicine. A full-time, one-year program is available, as well as a part-time program designed for working professionals.
